Original Description:
Mini Mo, a Chinese ex-pat residing in Japan, becomes an over weight fatty when her boyfriend Kurokawa went abroad ten years ago. She meets a kichen utensil salesman Fatso in the time of adversity. When Fatso learns the true story behind Mini's depression, he puts Mini on a grueling diet program and gives her encouragement every step of the way. Mini miraculously loses weight and reunites with Kurokawa. When she is in dilemma to choose between two guys, Fatso disappears suddenly...
It's amazing what actors will do to their bodies for a roll. But luckily for Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau, the only weight they had to put on was prostetic make-up. (But I hear it was really irritating.) Ironically, Sammi Cheng wasn't as thin at the beginning of her career as she is now.
This movie was really funny. And watching them eat all that food makes me hungry! But crash-dieting like that would probably kill a person.
